Finding Your Inner Spark: How I Reclaimed My Confidence, Purpose, and Sass

A Real-Life Journey from Burnout to Balance, Confidence, and Inner Strength

Strength and balance come from within

If you know there is a better version of yourself trying to find it’s way out, I feel you.

If you’re struggling with a lack of self-confidence or wondering how to live your best life – I’ve been there.

I’ve been the girl who was lost, who needed help, who was searching for answers. I’ve been the woman who just knew there had to be a different path. Sometimes those answers are hidden deep within us, but we’ve gotten distracted and lost sight of who we are.

Maybe you’re a mom who’s given all your energy to your family and feel left behind.
Maybe you’ve always sought approval from others and forgotten how to trust yourself.
Maybe you feel beaten down and buried by the negativity.

You’re not alone. I’ve been there, too.

But here’s the truth:

You DON’T have to live that way.
You were never MEANT to live that way.

INNERSASS Was Specifically Designed for YOU (and here’s why)…

You are amazing. Just being alive is a miracle beyond comprehension! You have the power to keep that miracle growing and accomplish goals beyond your wildest dreams. You were created to keep creating – the miraculous energy of YOU. So let it out!

My Journey

overwhelmed and burned out with my infant

After the birth of my second daughter, life started to take it’s toll on me… physically, mentally, and emotionally. I felt like I was losing my spark and the brightness in my smile. I looked at pictures and realized that something was missing. I didn’t laugh like I used to and I didn’t recognize the woman looking back at me in the mirror.

The feelings I struggled with are, unfortunately, more common than we realize. It’s hard to ask for help. Sometimes it’s even harder to explain to someone what you’re feeling when you don’t fully understand it yourself.

It broke my heart to see others fall victim to addiction and depression and I refused to let that be my story.

For the sake of my health – and my family – something had to change.

Storytelling Was My First Love

As a child, my passion was emotional connection through storytelling – movies, music, books… I dreamed of affecting others on a deeper level.

I didn’t understand that need back then, let alone myself. So I looked to others for direction but lost sight of myself along the way. I was misguided, gave my power away, and I allowed my voice to get small. I wasn’t sure who I was, what I needed, or where I was going (even though I thought I did.)

But the universe has a funny way of nudging us.

I found myself becoming the one that friends turned to.
“What would you do if…?”
“What should I do about…?”

Like the universe was trying to help me reconnect to my intuition – something I had been ignoring for too long.

Gifts Don’t Always Come Wrapped with Pretty Bows

Life has a way of screaming at you when you’re not paying attention to what matters.

Just because you want something, doesn’t mean it’s what you need.

Through job loss, the end of familiarity, and a move to a new place – physically and metaphorically – my family and I found ourselves on a new (and difficult) path. But that unexpected and overwhelming gift brought us blessings beyond our imagination.

Sometimes all it takes is one dose of inspiration to discover our path to wellness. That one dose can plant a seed that keeps growing. For me, that seed was yoga.

The Healing Power of Yoga

My yoga practice not only strengthened me physically, but it helped me find balance and healing. It brought me out of the darkness of pain, and into the light.

I learned to find strength in discomfort.
I learned to trust myself again.
I learned how to give myself grace and see every challenge as an opportunity for growth.

Yoga taught me how to be a better mother, a better wife, and a better human. It taught me to recognize imbalances and honor the lessons that I found there.

Now, I’m able to look back at my journey with compassion for my younger self. Becoming a mother helped me get there – but it wasn’t without it’s challenges!

Having a daughter on the spectrum opened my eyes in more ways than I ever could have imagined. Through her, I found a deeper understanding of myself and am able to see more clearly now.
And I am so deeply grateful for it.

I’m Just a Woman on a Journey

I’ve learned a few things along the way, and I’d love to share them with you. I hope they will help you along your journey. As I tell my girls, “sharing is caring!”

Find Strength in Discomfort

Life is full of ups and downs. But it’s in the challenges that we learn how to grow.
Keep showing up.
Look for the lessons all around you.
Give yourself grace on your journey.

I hope INNERSASS helps you connect to your inner strength, your inner voice, your inner sass. If that’s not what you’re seeing in the mirror right now – let’s change that!

You’ve come to the right place. Welcome. ❤️
You are special. You have sass, my friend.

Miracles do happen.
And it starts with YOU.

The universe wants you to become the very best version of yourself.
And so do I.
